Pilmuir Accommodation is great value for money, it’s clean, comfortable, has great facilities, and is in a great location – all without the a big price tag. Support us with your booking and support a community based charitable trust, which, while providing you with a great place to stay, relax and work, is also providing a range of other programmes and services aimed at building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.

At our hostel, guests can relax in the lounges and courtyard while enjoying fibre internet access. The services we provide include a selection of books and games, car parking (on request), after hours security, as well as internet facilities and communal areas with Sky TV.

Located in the centre of Lower Hutt, we have cheap accommodation to suit a variety of individuals with our rooms including single, twin, double and premium rooms. Whether you’ve just landed in Wellington or here for the long term, the team at  YMCA Pilmuir Accommodation is always ready to welcome you with a smile and a whole heap of  enthusiasm.

Not Just a Place to Sleep

The 106 room purpose built hostel offers short and long term accommodation in a safe, clean, friendly environment.

  • A female only floor is provided with added security
  • Single rooms comprising of bed, linen, towels, duvet, desk, chair, wardrobe, electrical points
  • Shared kitchens including microwave, oven, toaster, refrigerators, jugs etc
  • Our bathrooms include shower, baths, toilets and hand basins
  • Two TV lounges on the ground floor include Sky TV
  • A commercial level laundry is located on the ground floor
  • Close by public transport it is just a 5 minute walk to both the train station and bus stops
  • Local phone calls are free and a phone is located on the ground floor
  • Mail can be sent to our postal address and is delivered to tenants
  • Free parking on site and a lockup for bikes
  • All tenants have keys to the building
  • Security patrols the floors during the night
  • The hostel is child free
