Trampers and day hikers: With access to many walks and day tramps, including the Southern Crossing, and secure parking onsite, it’s a great place to begin.

Mountain Bikers: We have reopened a path up to the Rimutaka Pylon track. It enables access to the Pylon track from the Upper Hutt side of the Rimutaka’s. With rewarding views of the Tararua ranges before you reach native forest, it’s a challenging, great ride! Parking is available onsite.
